TO VISTA USERS

1. Make sure you have the appropriate Vista-compatible stable/updated drivers (video card/sound/LAN/chipset) installed for your computer.
2. If you have Vista 64-bit version, try to install the game to the "Program Files (x86)" directory.
3. Install and set the game with Administrator privileges: right click the game client installer (and then the manual patches) and select Run As Administrator
4. Disabling UAC may allow the game to run properly.
5. TURN OFF/EXIT the Vista Sidebar. It is known to cause Gameguard to report "Hack Tool" warnings, making the game exit prematurely.

TO WINDOWS 7 BETA USERS

nProtect Gameguard is not compatible with Windows 7 Beta, as you will get error 0. Nprotect said that they will NOT support Win7 until final release.

Furthermore, since the e-Games launcher uses Internet Explorer, the upcoming final version of Windows 7 may not come with any browser, so you will have to install IE8 before installing the game client.

Note:
DO NOT USE GAME CLIENT INSTALLERS/DISCS OLDER THAN 5.0 (INCLUDING EPISODE III AND OLDER); IF INSTALLING FROM DISC, USE ONLY THE EXTREME CLASS INSTALLER CD (2009).
Please backup your Ran Online installed directory before proceeding to use manual patches; You can use this backup to restore a failed installation/patching. Instructions here.
Disable DeepFreeze before installing. After installation, save system state and re-enable DeepFreeze then reboot.

HOWTO: Downloading and Extracting the Segmented Game Client Installer, and Full Installation
1.) If you do not have Winrar ( http://www.rarsoft.com/ ) or 7-zip ( http://www.7-zip.org/ ), download and install.

2.) Go to the Download Page at the main site and click on the first file:

3.) You may create a directory for the RAR files where you save them, in this case "D:\installer":

You can download the files sequentially (01-02, 03-04, 05-06, 07-08, 09) to speed things up.

4.) After downloading and saving, right click on the first file you downloaded and select Winrar's Extract Here:

The installer will be extracted:

Please note the filename(s) in case of an erroneous extraction, which should show up on the information console. For example:

Should it happen, try to download the problematic RAR file(s) again to make sure you have an intact installer.

There should be no warnings == successful extraction.

5.) This is how it should look like after the file is extracted:

Now double-click on the game client installer to INSTALL THE GAME.

It should work.

6.) After the game client, install the manual patches, by early date first (IMPORTANT!):

ranonlinepatch_5_0_1_1_02242009.exe (Rebirth)
ranonlinepatch_5_0_1_1_03042009.exe (Episode 6-1)
ranonlinepatch_6_1_0_0_04282009.exe (Episode 661/662)

7.) After installation, try to log-in and let the game client adjust itself.

Agree. the link you mentioned is very useful. Though it looks complicated, but kung susundan mo lang talaga ung procedure, you'll sooner realize how simple the process is.

Anyways, I just want to share what I did:

1. De-freeze your system. That's basic if you want to save all your downloaded files or anything you do with your computer like installing/uninstalling a program.

2. Uninstall the old RAN program in your PC/laptop. I'm positive we all know how to do this.

3. Download the latest full client in the website under the Download Section. It has 9 parts, so make sure you download it in sequence. Make sure to save everything in ONE FOLDER.

4. After downloading all 9 parts, right click on the 1st file you downloaded, then select EXTRACT HERE. Kung walang problema sa files na dinownload mo, no error message na lalabas. Then, may lalabas na icon/file (664MB). Ito yung nabuo mo na extracted file. Kumbaga, ito na yung Installer mo for the game client. Double-click mo lang...then magveverify xa...then after that, you will be directed to the launcher itself. Click next mo lang. Then BINGO. You already have installed your new ran launcher.

5. Next mo gawin, download and run the 3 manual patches in sequence as well. Unahin mo yung pinakaluma(ung rebirth ata un), then yung nagrerequire ng pasword: ran2030620ip, then ung pinakalatest na patch. It's clearly stated there in the link mentioned above. So follow mo lang un. Then BINGO. You have now completely reinstalled the RAN program. Either you log-in or restart mo PC mo.

NOTE: You can also use the Download manager for better download results!
