3 FORCE CORES + 2-slot great sword / daikatana as catalyst (with + the better)


I did this 3 times today (March 20, 2009)

First try - on my Pherystin Orb of Deathblow (2 slots, 20% CDI, 4% CRI). Extended it, and upgraded it with the above items it became 3 slots, (24% CDI, 4% CRI, 7% CRI). Weee.

2nd try - Tried the same items on a 1-slot titanium blade, and surprisingly i got a 5% CRI upgraded on slot.

3rd try - on another 1-slot titanium blade, i got 10% CDI, I guess 2nd level upgrade failed.

2 out of 3 tries... call it pure luck. but maybe there is a catalyst after all

Do try and post here if you get a 5% CRI for a 2nd level upgrade. Or whether u were able to get any other 2nd level upgrade other than crit rate.

FYI, I used a 2-slot bluestin greatsword+5, i bought for 1m each.

s pgkakaalam q, gani2 kc ung rule ng force core upgrade eh:

pg 1 force core n walang catalyst = randomly mo makukuha ung upgrades n png lvl1, whch means lesser ang chance para ma fail.

pg 1force core with catalyst = either makuha mo ung desired upgrade or hinde (meaning 50/50 chance or 50%chance to fail)

pag 2 force cores = randomly mo makukuha ung upgrades n png lvl1 or lvl2

pag 2 force cores + catalyst = either makuha mo ung desired upgrade or, randomly makuha ung upgrades ng lvl2

***NoTE: to lower the chance to fail the upgrade, add an upgrade core.

We all know that. We're just taking a poll of how much chance do we get that 5% crit rate upgrade using 2 or 3 force cores. and which catalyst gives or helps getting that 5% crit rate.

10% sa 3rd slot? not possible.

If you have an item with 2 slots, both slots with 10% CDI. then ginawa mong 3 slots via extender. yung 2 slot with 10% CDI will become 12% CDI each ( a total of 24% CDI), kapag successfull na CDI ang nailagay mo sa 3rd slot, it will only be an additional of 1% CDI.

In summary, a 3-slot item with CDI on all slots will be 25% CDI (12% + 12% + 1%). Kayas most are trying to get CRI in one of the slots.

its CRI = crit rate increase not CDI = crit damage increase... as andotz says...

about the use of [2] 2-handed weapon as catalyst to "luckily" get a CRI option on a slot,
IMO that is totally random!

the success %age of a lvl2 upgrade can be increased by using catalysts with + (more + means more success %age) and by using more than 1 force core,
and the option will be random, that's the fact and we all know that

for weapons, accdg. to this guide: Guide: Upgrading (Force Core) , we have 7 possible lvl2 upgrades:

CRI+5%, min.damage+1%, hp.steal, mp.steal, damage+5, alz drop amount, and 1slot item drop

getting 1 out of 7 means we have 14.29% or we say 14% of "luckily" getting the CRI+5% option

the TS is just very lucky to get that option,and it's nice he/she shared his/her experience to us =D

for me, others' experience(s) may be promising, but it is still better to base our thinking from a known fact

we're just trying this formula if it will really work or give a better chance of getting a CRI on the slot

if your so negative abt this or afraid to test it out, then y comment at all here

btw fyi konam also tried it w/ a 1slot tita gs+1 and used 3 fch, he got the CRI on the slot

natry ko 2 fchs lang then upgrade... on my 3rd time ko lumabas CRI 10% then after 10 attempts... wala na ulitq hehehe! ok try ko guide mo tol! thnx! gusto ko na tumawid sa s.t. GS! may 2 na kong 4% amp! tips naman jan!

eto naman ay pure luck lang... once lang nagforce upgrade ako for my 3rd slot.... i wasn't expecting na CRI lalabas dito.. again 2 fchs lang nilagay ko...

pag 3 pcs. FCH na 81% success 19% Failure


mas prefer ko ang 2 pcs. FCH lang kasi "I THINK" mas tumataas success rate ng LVL 1 enchantment pag 3 pcs. FCH ang ginamit unlike sa 2 pcs. FCH para sa akin, mas madalas ang LVL2 enchantment.

av done that on my third upgrade.

pherystin orb din, kaya lang mercury server.

bali yung 2 slot, may laman na, 20% CDI. bali, perfect CRI xa, 8% CRI.

i extended it, and upgraded it using OSM GS[1].

on the third, CRI na yung lumabas: CRI

eto xa, 24% CDI, 15% CRI.
